Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Two men ended up at St Marys Hospital and two others are in jail after a drive-by shooting late Wednesday in a NW Rochester residential neighborhood.

Police Lt. Mike Sadauskis says a car stopped in front of a house in the 3100 block of Oxford Ln near Arborglen Park around 11:00 PM and a man got out and opened fire.

The victims - ages 18 and 22-years-old - were outside the home and both were hit in the lower leg. One was shot twice, the other once. Sadauskis says the injuries were not life-threatening. It’s believed 7 - 8 shots were fired and some hit the house.

Police were able to get a lead on the vehicle used in the shooting and set up surveillance near a home at 412 Waterview Ln NW. Another car that also matched the description pulled up and the driver told the officers he had dropped off two men at the house. It was decided to call in the ERU and around 5:00 AM, police ordered everyone in the house to come out.

Sadauskis says a family came out, including two brothers who were suspected of being involved in the shooting. They have been identified as 25-year-old Iman Iman and 22-year-old brother Ayub Iman. Sadauskis says the older brother is being charged with firing the gun.

Rochester Police Chief Jim Franklin strongly feels this was not a random shooting and that the victims were targeted. "This is an act of targeted violence the parties, we believe, knew each other, there is no public safety risk at this point," Franklin said in a statement to media.

Sadauskis says they are also facing charges connected to an earlier incident at a Rochester convenience store that involved a man who was chased inside the business.
