TROLLING TWITTER: STP in the Studio!

A couple weeks ago I discovered via twitter that the De Leo brothers of Stone Temple Pilots were returning to the studio to start recording new music.

Bassist Robert De Leo seems
quite comfortable tweeting-out action shots from that studio. I'm guessing that it's probably Robert's very own studio by the content of his tweets. (see images below)

Stone Temple Pilots did produce their last full studio record, 'Stone Temple Pilots (2010)', so why not this one, too? (total speculation on my part) No Chester Bennington sightings as of yet among this series of twitter-photo's, but in addition to the brothers De Leo (Robert , Dean), seems drummer Eric Kretz is actively involved at this point in their creative process, and rightly so.

Follow-up on this twitter-blast from 2 weeks ago, and this week seems like a no-brainer to me since I really want to hear something concrete from these guys, other than a 3-song EP.

I think they still have a lot of gas in the tank, so to speak, despite the fact that they have moved on without Scott, and Chester seems to have the chops to carve his own place in the legacy of STP.
