This Rochester Band Just Won $5,000 – [LISTEN]

A lot of us tried playing the Powerball to win big this week, when the jackpot went over $400 million. These guys didn't have to. They won money all on their own!

Have you ever heard of The 9th Planet Out? These guys haven't been around Rochester long, but they are quickly making a pretty awesome impact already.

They released their first EP Burn It Down last May.

Oh, and as for that winning $5,000 thing, you can check out the story on that here. The 9th Planet Out went to Boone, Iowa, for the Forte Studios 'Battle of the Bands.' They scored big!

They are a straight-shooting hard rock and heavy metal band. Plain and simple. Did I mention they're also playing Rockfest? We're definitely going to be hearing more from these guys, and I can't wait to see what they do.
