The Top Restaurants In Minnesota According To Yelp May Surprise You

A lot of people use Yelp to help decide where they want to eat, or at least people are familiar with the website. Yelp has released its "Top 100 Places To Eat", let's find out which Minnesota places made the list.

Yelp was founded back in 2004 and was designed to be a one-stop shop for people to check out local businesses, see reviews, make a reservation, or even request a quote.

The demographics of people that use the website or app range from ages 18 - 55+. 39% of people that use are 55 or older, which is the most out of the age ranges. Out of every business, category searched for on Yelp, restaurants come in second with 17%.

This also marks the 10th anniversary of "Yelp's Top 100 Places To Eat". The list is all based on user ratings. Before we dive into restaurants from the Land of 10,000 Lakes, let's see what kind of places rounded out the top 10 in the entire United States:

A lot of different kinds of food ranging from all over. Apparently, if you're looking for some highly-rated food, it's time for a California trip. Or, That's just where many Yelp users reside. I have actually been to one of the top-rated restaurants on the list. When I went to Disneyland in Anaheim years ago, we stopped at the Sunbliss Café which was pretty tasty.

Which Minnesota restaurants made the top 100?

I bet you're wondering which Minnesota places cracked in the top 100 according to Yelp reviews. It may shock you, that not one single restaurant made the list. Also, no Wisconsin restaurant made the list either.

However, I was curious and wanted to check out which Minnesota restaurants had the best ratings on Yelp. I tried searching just Minnesota, but apparently, that was too broad. It ended up just giving me the top rated places in the Twin Cities. So I figured I would do the top 5 in the Cities area and the top five in Duluth:

Santi's

Located at 1001 Johnson Parkway, you'll find the number of places to eat according to Yelp.

Cosmic Coffee

You find the number two spot at 3301 North East Central Avenue in Minneapolis.

MN Sweet Comforts

You can this specialty dessert eatery at 2259 Minnehaha Avenue East Suite 2 in Maplewood.

Selam Restaurant

The Ethiopian Restaurant is located at 3860 Minnehaha Avenue in Minneapolis.

Kham Fu Dee

Rounding out the top five is a food truck that serves up Asian Fusion. You can find their locations on their Facebook page.

Arnold's Roadside Café

This café has the highest rating of any restaurant in the area on Yelp. You can find it at 5691 US Highway 2 in Hermantown.

Great Harvest Bread Co.

Coming in at second is Great Harvest Bread CO. which can be found at 3 South 13th Avenue East in the Downtown-ish area.

Chaco's Taqueria

One of the newer restaurants in town has a great rating on Yelp. You can find it at 329 Canal Park Drive.

The Social House

Currently located at 4897 Miller Trunk Highway, the popular restaurant will be opening a second location in Canal Park soon.

Superior Waffles

You can find both sweet and savory waffles located at 1412 Tower Avenue in Superior, Wi.
