I see this more and more on my Facebook newsfeed. People whining about how the refs cost their team the game. Especially after the Lions/Packers game.   What I'm seeing and reading about the "phantom" facemask call against the Lions on Aaron Rodgers is that, no, it was not a facemask at all. He just grazed his facemask. I completely agree with that. But in real time, the ref saw Rodgers head turn as a result and called the facemask penalty which is non-reviewable. The ref made the right call from what he saw on the field. Now some idiots are calling for a facemask penalty to be reviewable. NO! Stop it! The game is already 3 hours long. If they have to stop play to review whether or not a penalty occurred or didn't occur, that would push the game to 5-6 hours. Stop it with you whining. Hey Lions fans, how about you blame your team for blowing a 20 point lead or blame the Lions coaching staff for not putting Megatron in the endzone to knock the ball down?!

Now, I'm not saying the refs don't get some wrong sometimes, but damn. I've never seen so many people carrying on about how their team lost because the refs got paid by a player or an organization or how the refs are in some players back pocket. Stop it! Nobody's paying the refs and if you actually believe that, you're an idiot. We've all seen some bad calls over the years against our favorite teams. The refs are human. They'll make some bad calls. But to blame them EVERY TIME your team loses is plain stupid and your argument is absurd.

I've been known to yell at the TV on more than one occasion because I thought there should have been a flag thrown or because there wasn't one thrown but in the end, if my team plays like crap, I blame the team/coaches. If you're making millions of dollars a year to do what you "love" to do, then you better prove you're worth it. It's that simple. If your team is playing terrible, don't blame the refs. Blame the team.

GO PACK!

And if you'd like to be in Wisconsin for the Minnesota/Green Bay game, have we got a deal for you.
