Dover, MN (KROC AM News) - A construction trailer was stolen from a rural site near Dover over the weekend - even though its tires were chained together in an effort to prevent a theft.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says the theft of the flatbed trailer was reported Monday. It was taken from a property located in the 15,000 block of County Rd 129 SE.

The owner was able to follow the skid marks caused by the chained tires for several miles.

Some scaffolding on the trailer was also missing. The loss was put at $4,000.
