St Charles Man Hurt In Crash Near Elgin; Woman Killed In St Cloud
Elgin, MN (KROC AM News) - A St Charles man was hurt in a traffic accident near Elgin Monday.
The Minnesota State Patrol says two vehicles that were northbound on Highway 42 collided at the Wabasha County Rd 25 intersection around 6:00 pm.
The driver who was injured was identified as 29-year-old Luis Gomez. He was taken to St Marys Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver was identified as 18-year-old Jasmin Geike of Rochester. The State Patrol report indicates she was not hurt.
A St Cloud woman was killed Monday in a traffic wreck involving two trucks. It happened around 5:00 pm in St. Cloud.
The State Patrol says a semi-truck “was stopped in traffic” on Highway 15 when it was rear-ended by a commercial straight truck. The driver of that truck was identified as 37-year-old Kim Nguyen of St. Cloud. She was not hurt but her passenger was killed. The name of the 62-year-old woman hasn’t been released. The driver of the semi-truck was identified as 62-year-old Brian Zerbst of Ironwood. He was not injured.
