Someone In Minnesota Is Actually Forfeiting A $1 Million Prize?

A lot of people love to play lottery games, and there are certainly several to choose from if you play the Minnesota Lottery.

The Minnesota Lottery has scratch games, print-n-play games, lotto games like Powerball, and raffles.

We often hear of people winning big throughout Minnesota, and you'd hope that if you were lucky enough to win big, you'd know about it right away and claim your cash. Unfortunately, that doesn't always happen as the Minnesota Lottery has a page dedicated to 'Unclaimed Prizes'.

Often, those prizes are eventually claimed as winners usually have one year to step forward as the winner. However, there is currently a huge win that remains unclaimed and if that winner doesn't come forward very soon, they'll give up their chance to become a millionaire.

Someone In Minnesota Is Very Close To Forfeiting $1 Million

Every year the Minnesota Lottery sells a limited number of $10 tickets to enter the Minnesota Millionaire Raffle. Tickets go on sale in the fall and are only available until they sell out.

The drawing is held on January 1st and two lucky winners get a whopping $1 million. There are also a lot of other cash winners who can win $100,000, $50,000, $25,000, $10,000, $500, $200, $100, and $50.

The Minnesota Lottery reached out through social media this week to remind everyone that while one $1 million winner had come forward to claim their prize, the other winner has yet to do so.

Since the winner gets one year to claim their cash, they will forfeit $1 million if they don't come forward before January 1, 2025.
