1 New Minnesota Lottery Game Clearly Has The Best Chance To Win Big
With Halloween just around the corner, the holiday season is fast approaching and there will be Christmas decorations up before we know it! Heck, we already see them available to buy when out shopping.
While putting up holiday decorations, watching favorite holiday movies, and listening to Christmas music are traditions people look forward to, there is another thing that happens during the holiday season.
The Minnesota Lottery once again has special holiday-themed scratch tickets and while there are four to choose from, there is one that will give you the best chance to win its top prize.
Of course, it does mean you'll be putting a little more money on the line, but you can't win if you don't play, right?
Minnesota Lottery Holiday Scratch Tickets
The Minnesota Lottery has four holiday-themed scratch tickets available, each with a different cost to play, a different top prize amount, and different odds of winning. The games are:
- Holiday $2,000s ($20 per ticket, $2,000 top prize)
- Naughty or Nice ($2 per ticket $10,000 top prize)
- Holiday $500s ($5 per ticket, $500 top prize)
- Holiday $1,000s ($10 per ticket, $1,000 top prize)
Now, at first glance, you'd think spending $2 to win $10,000 sounds great, and that would be amazing, but if you want the best odds of winning a top prize, you wouldn't rush to play Naughty Or Nice.
The New Minnesota Scratch Game That Provides The Best Chance To Win Big
If you want the best chance to win a top prize, and the best chance to at least win your money back, you'll want to ante up $20 per ticket and give the Holiday $2,000s scratch game a try.
The game boasts that it's "loaded with $2,000 top prizes", and it is not lying. There are 1,925 tickets out there that are worth the top prize, giving you a 1 in 632.92 chance at $2,000.
While that doesn't necessarily put the odds in your favor, it does give you the best chance to win a top prize. You also have a 1 in 7.14 chance to win your $20 back.
The Minnesota Lottery provides the odds of winning all cash prizes in this game:
- To Win $20: Odds are 1 in 7.14. There are 170,588 winners.
- To Win $25: Odds are 1 in 13.35. There are 91,290 winners.
- To Win $30: Odds are 1 in 23.93. There are 50,921 winners.
- To Win $40: Odds are 1 in 91.69. There are 13,288 winners.

- To Win $500: Odds are 1 in 19,651.21. There are 62 winners.
- To Win $1,000: Odds are 1 in 19,651.21. There are 62 winners.
- To Win $2,000: Odds are 1 in 632.92. There are 1,925 winners.
The Holiday $500s and the Holiday $1,000s games have similar odds of winning their respective top prizes, but not quite as good. The Minnesota Lottery posts odds of winning for all its scratch games online.
Of course, who could blame you for going for that $10,000 Naughty or Nice top prize? Just know, however, that it's the biggest gamble of all. While there's a 1 in 6 chance you'll get your $2 back, the odds of winning $10,000 aren't nearly as good.
Here are the odds of winning all the cash prizes in the Naughty or Nice game:
- To Win $2: Odds are 1 in 6.00. There are 427,125 winners.
- To Win $5: Odds are 1 in 17.65. There are 145,229 winners.
