Significant Snowstorm Could Hit Southeast Minnesota Friday
Light snow fell across the region Sunday night and we're expecting more this week. There are actually a couple of chances of snow throughout the week, 1-3" of snow/ice is expected Monday night which will create slick conditions across the area and another round of light snow is expected Wednesday morning, but the heaviest is expected on Friday.
Southeast Minnesota could see its first significant snowstorm of the new year this Friday. As of now, the chance of snow Friday is 90% with up to 8" possible that day. If you have travel plans this weekend, you'll want to watch the forecast for updated info and plan accordingly because travel could be difficult and dangerous.
