One of the many great things about Minnesota is the many winter attractions that are all across the land of ten thousand lakes. We have SocialIce happening in Rochester in the next few weeks, but if you are willing to take a little road trip there is something cool to check out just under two hours away. The Minnesota Ice Castle is finally opening after a long debate of where the final location was going to be.

Now that construction is done on the Ice Castle, you can go check it out starting on January 17th, which is this Friday. The new location of the Castle is at Long Lake Regional Park in New Brighton.

Tickets can be bought online. The price varies depending on when you plan ongoing. General admission(age 12 and up) for a weekday is $12.99. Children's ticket on a weekday (4 to 11) is $9.99. On the weekends for General Admission it cost $17.99 and for children, it is $11.99. The site says that the tickets will sell fast.

This winter attraction is supposed to have slides and sculptures that are works of art. You can take pictures during your adventure as well. My only advice, dress warm and be ready for a fun, cold night in the land of ten thousand lakes. I plan on checking it probably later this month. I would love to see your adventure at the Ice Castle, so send us your selfies inside the station app.
