Albert Lea, MN (KROC-AM News) - A line of severe thunderstorms flooded Albert Lea Tuesday night.
The National Weather Service Twin Cities reported the storm dumped over two inches of rain at the Albert Lea Airport. Meteorologists issued a Flash Flood Warning just before 8:30 p.m. for most of Freeborn County.
That Flash Flood Warning followed a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued earlier Tuesday evening. Photos from the area show several streets were underwater.
Albert Lea Police advised residents against traveling Tuesday night. Severe Thunderstorm warnings were also issued for communities in southwest Minnesota and northern Iowa.
