Albert Lea,MN (KROC AM News) -The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a rural house fire.

It broke out around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in London Township, near Austin.

The 911 caller reported the house was engulfed in flames. The sheriff’s office says 40-year-old Joshua Declue and his roommate were in the home at the time of the fire. They escaped without injury.

It appears the fire started near the home’s wood burning stove and chimney. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Damage was listed as moderate.

Fire crews from three agencies were called to the scene to battle the blaze.
