Rochester’s “Zorba’s” Building To Be Torn Down – New Restaurant Coming?
Zorba's Greek Restaurant. It opened in the 1980's, closed in 2014, and will soon be demolished. But what'll go in its place?
A demolition permit was filed by Widseth Smith Nolting. They do engineering, environmental, and other building kinda stuff like that. It could be gone by spring.
It's a lot older than I thought. Records show that A-Frame bit-of-discomfort (I NEVER felt comfortable in there...too cold, too hot, sticky seats, tho the patio rocked) is over 50-years-old! So, a much cleaner line-of-site to Ye Olde Butcher Shoppe now (remember to pronounce it Ye Oldey Butcher Shoppee).
Will a new restaurant pop up in it's place? No one's talking yet.
