Rochesterfest to Return This Summer

Yesterday, after learning that Valleyfair would be reopening this year, we asked our audience what else they were hoping would return this summer. A lot of people are wanting to go to Twins' games at Target Field, the Minnesota State Fair, Thursdays Downtown, and Rochesterfest.

The Rochester Downtown Alliance is planning to bring back Thursdays Downtown and this morning we learned that Rochesterfest will be returning this summer. The popular community celebration will have the theme "Let's Reconnect."

All of the details aren't set in stone yet - we're not sure if masks will be required - but we do know the dates will be June 19th-27th and will provide updates from the event organizers when they are available.

Organizers also announced the start of the annual button design contest on the event's Facebook page, "The Theme for Rochesterfest 2021 has been announced! Our 2021 Chair Judy Braatz has chosen: “Let’s Reconnect – Rochesterfest 2021”. That also means it is time for the button design contest. The design contest runs until March 15th. Please submit your designs digitally to director@rochesterfest.com or by mailing them to PO Box 007 Rochester, MN 55903."
