Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was arrested Wednesday after attacking his wife with a hammer, leaving her with critical injuries.

Arrested was 65-year-old Joseph Kinyanjui.

A police spokesman says officers were called to his home just after 7:00 PM and found the 66-year-old woman suffering from severe head trauma. Her injuries were described as life-threatening.

There is no update on her medical condition at this time.
