Rochester Teen Extricated from Vehicle After Fiery Rollover Crash
Oronoco, MN (KROC-AM News)- First responders had to extricate a Rochester teenager from her vehicle after it was involved in a fiery rollover crash early Sunday morning.
Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain James Schueller said a call came into dispatch concerning a vehicle fire in Oronoco Township with an unconscious occupant around midnight Sunday. A state trooper was first to arrive and they reported extinguishing a small fuel fire.
Schueller said the initial crash investigation indicates the 17-year-old girl was traveling west on White Bridge Rd. near Sandy Point Ct. Northeast when her vehicle went off the road to the right and struck a large rock wall. The vehicle then connected with a wire on an electrical pole before rolling several times.
First responders confirmed the young girl was unconscious but had a pulse. She was extricated from the vehicle and brought to St. Mary’s Hospital.
Schueller said the girl’s condition as of Monday morning is unknown, however a deputy was able to confirm that her initial CT scan Sunday morning came back with good results.
