Rochester Precipitation Tops 50-Inches For The First Time
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The annual precipitation total for the City of Rochester has exceeded 50-inches for the first time.
The latest rainfall report from the National Weather Service indicates about 1.4 inches of rain has fallen at the Rochester Airport today. Forecasters say that has pushed the overall precipitation total since January 1st to almost 51-inches.
It is the first time that figure has been above 50-inches since the weather statistics for the city were first recorded in the 1880s. It also pushed the annual precipitation total over a half-foot above the previous record set in 1990.
