Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police officers responded to an unusual call early Tuesday - an abandoned motorcycle on its side in a turn lane at the intersection of 12th St and Marion Rd.

When the officers arrived, they found the motorcycle parked on a nearby sidewalk. They also stopped a man who was walking away from the motorcycle, carrying a helmet.

The officers learned the motorcycle was stolen and contacted the owner. The owner came to pick up his motorcycle but told the officers he knew the apparent thief and did not want to press charges.

But the man was taken into custody after the officers found a stolen handgun and 38 grams of meth in his possession. Arrested was 36-year-old Adam Glende of Winona.
