Rochester Man Mugged While Walking Home

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man reported being mugged early Thursday while walking home.

The 54-year-old told police he was walking near the southside Dairy Queen store around  5:30 AM when a man ran up from behind and hit him in the ribs with a 2 by 4 piece of wood. The man says the attacker took his $12 in cash and ran off.  

The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of his rib injuries.
