Rochester Infant Dies Three Days After Emergency C-Section
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who was charged Friday with causing the emergency birth of his ex-girlfriend’s baby girl will likely face new charges now that the infant has died.
Police say the baby died Sunday evening after being on life support since her birth last Thursday morning. Police arrested 20-year-old Chaz Moore later that day and he was charged Friday with felony assault.
Police say Moore pushed the mother, apparently causing a tear in the woman’s placenta. She later underwent an emergency C-section. Police say the woman was 26 weeks pregnant.
Moore’s bail was set at $100,000 during his Friday arraignment.
