Rochester Included in Winter Storm Warning
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The National Weather Service has upgraded the winter storm watch for the Rochester area to a winter storm warning.
It has been posted for most of the southern half of Minnesota along with large sections of Iowa and Wisconsin from 6 PM Tuesday through 6 PM on Wednesday. The first major winter storm to hit southeastern Minnesota this season is predicted to dump 6-10 inches of wet snow on the Rochester area. The storm could also include some freezing rain, freezing drizzle, and winds guesting over 40 miles per hour before it exits the region late Wednesday afternoon.
Anyone with travel plans is urged to pay close attention to weather forecasts and conditions.
