Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Several inches of snow could fall in southeast Minnesota this week.

The National Weather Service is reporting “accumulating snow appears increasingly likely for much of the area beginning later Tuesday and ending Wednesday morning.”

The NWS says amounts and locations in SE Minnesota that could receive the heaviest amounts “are still to be determined.”

As of Sunday morning, the Weather Service forecast for Rochester indicates an approaching storm will produce heavy snow Tuesday evening and totals could be as high as 3 - 5 inches.

For now, the forecast for Thanksgiving Day calls for dry weather but there could be another round of snow and rain Friday and Saturday.
