Rochester Area Boy Threatens Mom, Sister with Knife

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A rural Olmsted County boy was taken into custody last week after threatening his mother and 13-year-old sister with a knife.

Sheriff Department Captain Scott Behrns says the incident happened around 9:45 Friday morning at the family’s home in the 2900 block of 130th Street NE, several miles north of Rochester, just off Highway 63.

The 12-year-old boy was found hiding outside the home when deputies arrived.  He was taken to the local juvenile detention center and could face charges.
