Our downtown area can be really confusing to someone who isn't used to our subway system, which really isn't a typical subway. What visitors don't know though is that many of us who have lived in Rochester, Minnesota for years don't even know how to get around downtown Rochester or about all of the amazing restaurants and fast food spots serving up amazing food.
Whatever your reason is to meander in downtown Rochester, Minnesota, when your stomach starts growling, check out these restaurants and fast food spots that you can walk to and grab a bite to eat.
Starting right in the heart of downtown Rochester, by the Gonda Building are a few well-known spots.

FYI, if you are ever in Rochester, Minnesota during the summer, this is one place you will want to visit because this is one of the areas we have Thursdays Downtown, which is basically a party in the summer on Thursdays full of food and live music.
