Sometimes tour pairings work out just great and it's worth it to headlining bands to keep the fun going. Such is the case for Red Hot Chili Peppers, who played shows with Japanese teen metal trio Babymetal in the U.K. in December and decided to replicate that experience for American audiences.

This latest concert coup is just the latest feather in the cap for the teen trio, who already have signed to open for Metallica in Seoul, South Korea on Jan. 11, and will support Guns N' Roses on four of the upcoming Japanese dates, starting Jan. 21.

Babymetal will hop on the Red Hot Chili Peppers tour beginning April 12 in Washington, D.C. and will continue on the run through April 29 in Miami. The full list of dates featuring the two acts can be seen below.

Babymetal continue to tour off the strength of their 2016 album Metal Resistance, which has spawned the singles "Karate" and the title track. The band made two trips stateside last year, playing East Coast and Midwest venues in May and a four-date West Coast trek in July, so the return to stages stateside will be a welcome one.
