One Person Killed In Head-On Crash Near Houston (UPDATED)

Houston County, MN (KROC-AM News) - One person was killed and one other person was injured in a crash on Highway 76 near Houston Sunday night.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports that 26-year-old Casey Knutson of Spring Grove was traveling in a Honda Accord southbound on Highway 76 near Houston while a 69-year-old Winona man was traveling northbound on the same highway in a Ford F-150 when two vehicles collided head-on around 8:45 p.m.

Knutson was fatally injured in the crash. The driver of the Ford F-150, Dan Michaelis, was taken to Gunderson Lutheran Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The State Patrol says Knutson was not using a seatbelt.
