Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Olmsted County Sheriff's Department has released the name of the Rochester woman who was killed yesterday in a two-vehicle crash on the northeast edge of the city.

A spokesman says 64-year-old Sharon Schlingmann suffered fatal injuries when her car collided with another vehicle at the intersection of 48th Street Northeast and East River Road. Schlingmann was driving north on East River Road, where there is a stop sign at the intersection with 48th Street. The other vehicle struck the driver’s door of her car in the collision, which was reported at around 1:20 PM.

The other driver was identified as 76-year-old Robert Martin of Rochester. He was transported to St. Mary's Hospital where he was listed in fair condition Tuesday morning.
