We were just a few days into the New Year when we got the news. Byron was going to have a food truck!

Byron High School has been awarded a $45,000 Bush Foundation Grant they're going to use for a class in the Family And Consumer Sciences Department and the Business Department. The class will have about 40 students and they will manage the food truck.

According to Ryan Radke (in the video below) the food they'll serve will include smoked items, grilled fresh food from the school's greenhouse, veggie and gluten-free items, but jambalaya, street foods and more. It sounds like a fantastic opportunity that'll officially go into service in March.
