A few weeks ago, I gave you my list of Top 10 Rock Songs of the 2000's. Now, being a child of the 80's, I thought I'd share my Top 10 80's Hairband Songs.

Back when I was 14-15, this was the shiznit. Of course, we didn't have cell phones back then but what we did have were big "boom boxes" that we carried around with a cassette case full of all kinds of different bands.

It was a pain in the ass but at least we had music. Here's what we used to listen to while we walked all over the place (because nobody had their license yet) or played frisbee in the park.

Twisted Sister - I Wanna Rock

This was back when MTV (Music Television) actually played videos. They played the hell out of this one.

  • 2

    Ratt - Lay It Down

Ratt was one of my favorite hair bands. "Lay It Down" came from their album "Invasion of Your Privacy" which had other great tunes on it like: "You're In Love" and "Between The Eyes" but this was always my favorite to crank.

  • 3

    KISS - Lick It Up

It's a funny thing. I was never a big fan of KISS but I've seen them love more than any other band. Weird. This was always a good tune.

  • 4

Kingdom Come - Get It On

These guys weren't around very long. A lot of people accused them of ripping off Led Zeppelin but I think they had their own style. And now that I think about it, this song has kind of a "Kashmir" kind of feel to it. Good album and it got a lot of airplay on MTV...you know...when they actually played videos.

Bulletboys - Smooth Up In Ya

Loved cranking this one on the ol' boombox. Always played it nice and loud.

  • 6

    Dokken - In My Dreams

Dokken was one of my favorite hair bands growing up. Not sure what it was but they always sounded good on any stereo and George Lynch's guitar work was phenomenal.

Def Leppard - Bringin' On The Heartbreak

If you grew up in the 80's, you had to be a fan of Def Leppard. As far as the video, it's not the original video...it's better.

Skid Row - Youth Gone Wild

Another great album and Sebastian Bach's vocals were incredible.

  • 9

    Cinderella - Nobody's Fool

Wow. This is the epitome of a "hair band." I haven't seen this video in a while. This reeks of 80's. Good tune though.

Motley Crue - Shout at the Devil

Of course, any 80's list NEEDS to contain Motley Crue.
