My Name Is Karly And I Am A NIN Addict…

Trent Reznor is seriously one of my favorite artists!   It was amazing to see him perform live up in the cities recently.   I have been a fan for years, I have every halo and yes, a NIN addiction.   This is stellar to read about! I used to have people say to me, I bet if you met him in person he would be just really weird and probably mean. Some of his music is a little bit on the darkside, and yeah, he has some elements to his personality that could be considered bizarre, but that is why I find him so brilliant!  How amazing would it be to get to speak one on one with someone you admire?

I actually was able to meet Trent Reznor, years ago, because of my crazy determination. Some call it stalking.

Ok, yes I stalked Trent Reznor.   I went to the concert in Milwaukee in the 90's and found his tour bus.   I waited, and waited, and Trent eventually came out, with his dog!  There was a group of fans that were stalking him also, and I was shy and stood off and watched. Trent wandered over to me, let me pet his dog and talked for a while. He signed the jeans I was wearing with a sharpie.   I still have the autograph, but its a little faded because I have had to wash them now and again.   He took a photo with me too, but I look terrible in it. I didn't have a camera with me, so I asked one of the guys from the other stalking group to take a picture for me and I gave him my address so he could send me the photo.  I didn't think I'd ever see that photo but sure enough, a couple days went by and he sent it to me in the mail, along with some concert pictures he had taken that night.  I will forever remember that special moment in my life, face to face, with Trent Reznor.  Do you have any interesting stories of meeting your hero?  Is there someone you would like to meet that you haven't met yet?   Do share!
