
Minnesota’s Newest Millionaires Claim Hot Lotto Prize
Minnesota’s newest millionaires appeared at a news conference Monday afternoon after they reported to the State Lottery Headquarters in Roseville with the winning ticket from a recent Hot Lotto drawing.That ticket was worth about $11.7 million. The winners are Joe and Rhonda Meath of Bethel. Joe is retired from a job at Xcel Energy, while Rhonda works as a server at a Lake Elmo business.
The couple doesn’t have many plans for their riches yet, but Rhonda plans to get a new vehicle. Joe says he’s happy with his truck even though it has about 280,000 miles showing on the odometer.
