Minneopa State Park Was Gorgeous This Weekend – [PHOTOS]

It literally seemed like everyone and their mother went crazy over the fact that it was a 50-degree weekend in Minnesota! But hey, it was for good reason!

The reason I'm selecting, is that we got to take advantage of beautiful sites like the ones at Minneopa State Park! I've never been there before, but, boy, did we get more than we bargained for!

My husband and I love hiking. It's not exactly a secret to you guys by now, I suppose. When we knew good weather was coming, we decided to take a look at a map of Minnesota a pick a park to explore. This weekend, we explored Minneopa State Park.

It's known for its amazing waterfalls, but did you know it had a BISON RANGE too? What is this madness? I've never been so close to such massive beasts! (Side note: I've never been to Yellowstone either... yet, so forgive my excitement!)

For the record, be careful if you manage to get that close to the falls! There was a lot of ice on the hillsides and trails. If you're smart about it you'll be just fine, and you'll see some amazing views.

The bison range is a must see! However, drive carefully and stay in the car. Bison run about three times faster than we do.
