Love The Vikings? Watch the Game With a Famous Rochester Celebrity
A building on North Broadway in Rochester, Minnesota is a place you've probably driven by thousands of times but most people have no idea what happens inside. I'm going to give you an inside look and also let you know about a pretty amazing event happening at Chip Shots with a Rochester celebrity that is going to help more people enjoy this amazing space.
What Is Inside That Large Building on North Broadway in Rochester, Minnesota?
Next time you drive on North Broadway by Bowlocity, keep your eyes on the road but glance quickly and see if you can find the building in the photo above. It's located at 2530 N. Broadway Ave. and it is called EA Therapeutic Health. (If you need directions to EA Therapeutic Health, I'll help you out...you can find it here.). Most people don't know this but they also have space in one of the buildings next door too!
Inside these buildings are rooms and talented people who are helping change lives each and every day. Here's a little bit about their story:
In 2009, founder and CEO, Melanie Brennan, PT, DPT, identified a problem that needed to be solved – people of all ages with neurologic or medical conditions that impacted their physical mobility, cognitive awareness, and overall health were being dismissed much too soon from beneficial therapy services after life-changing diagnoses or neurologic injury due to arbitrary health insurance coverage issues. Because the decision to end services is made by lacking health insurance as the primary reason, their needs, and potential for benefit from ongoing rehabilitation were being ignored.
A safe and affordable place was needed in the community for people to go to continue their recovery to optimal health and independence that was accessible with advanced rehabilitation technologies, accessible adaptive equipment, and knowledgeable therapy and adaptive wellness staff. Melanie set to work to build a nonprofit company with this goal, and in 2011, ExercisAbilities was born. The organization was just rebranded as EA Therapeutic Health.
