There are movie posters, and then there are movie posters. Of late, most action movie posters kinda all look the same, with some notable exceptions. Those movies willing to get a little more creative with their promotional art really stand out amongst the crowds of character heads photoshopped on top of one another. Kong: Skull Island entered the game today with a new poster that’s a direct homage to one of the most famous war movies of all time: Apocalypse Now.

For comparison, here’s the iconic Apocalypse Now poster:
They’re both beautiful posters, worthy of being framed or taped up onto your college dorm room wall. Kong: Skull Island isn’t out yet for another month but is already being compared to war movies of the past, and with its recently confirmed Vietnam setting, it’s a direct monster movie descendant of the 1979 war epic. Kong: Skull Island stars Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson, and John C. Reilly, and hits theaters March 10.
