Zakk Wylde’s Zakk Sabbath to Embark on First Headlining Tour This Spring
If anybody has the bonafides to be in a Black Sabbath cover band, it's Zakk Wylde. He played with Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne for years. Wylde's all-star outfit Zakk Sabbath also includes bassist Rob ‘Blasko’ Nicholson (Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie) and drummer Joey Castillo (ex-Danzig, ex-Queens of the Stone Age).
The group, who have toured in the past, will be embarking on their first headlining tour beginning May 18 in New York. Check out a trailer above. Beastmaker will be the opening band. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, Feb. 4 at this location.
In addition to playing Sabbath songs, Wylde will also be paying tribute to another legendary musician beginning later this month. He'll be part of the "Experience Hendrix Tour" for the third year in a row.
The trek, celebrating the musical legacy of Jimi Hendrix, kicks off Feb. 17 in Portland, Ore. and also includes other guitar wizards such as Billy Cox, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Buddy Guy.
