‘Jason Bourne’ Super Bowl Trailer Reveals First Footage, New Title
This year’s Super Bowl brought with us not only our first look at footage from the upcoming Jason Bourne movie (which reunites star Matt Damon with his previous director Paul Greengrass), but also an official reveal of the film’s title. Which is…Jason Bourne.
Wherever Jason Bourne was during the events of The Bourne Legacy, he was learning how to fight. We see Damon as Bourne in some sort of underground fight club, and despite the level of competition, Bourne steps into the ring and drops his opponent with one punch.
While identity issues have plagued Jason Bourne throughout his movies, he says definitely in this trailer, “I remember everything,” before Julia Stiles reminds him, “Remembering everything doesn’t mean you know everything.” We still don’t know much about the movie, but here’s what we do know, direct from Universal:
Matt Damon returns to his most iconic role in Jason Bourne. Paul Greengrass, the director of The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, once again joins Damon for the next chapter of Universal Pictures’ Bourne franchise, which finds the CIA’s most lethal former operative drawn out of the shadows.
For Jason Bourne, Damon is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones, while Julia Stiles reprises her role in the series.
Jason Bourne opens in theaters on July 29.
