Trader Joe's, which has stores in 42 states, alerted the public on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, about a recall for a product sold in its stores. Below are the details shared on their website regarding the latest product recall:
- PRODUCT NAME: Infinite Herbs Organic Basil
- PRODUCT DETAILS: Sold in 2.5 ounce packages between February 1st, 2024 and April 6th, 2024.
- UPC: 8 18042 02147 7
- RECALL ISSUED: APRIL 17th, 2024
- LOCATIONS WHERE PRODUCT WAS SOLD: AL, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, VT, VA, Washington DC, and WI stores.
- REASON FOR RECALL: The product has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
What Are The Symptoms of a Salmonella Infection?
According to Mayo Clinic, the symptoms vary quite a bit for a salmonella infection. You could either have zero symptoms or...the works. And by "the works", I mean diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps after being exposed. It takes about 8 to 72 hours after that exposure for those symptoms to show up so while you wait, just get the toilet paper stocked, you know, just in case. Severe dehydration could happen as a result and some cases of infection can lead to life-threatening complications.
What To Do If You Have The Recalled Trader Joe's Product
