25 Hilarious Myths People Believe About Minnesota
Today was bittersweet for me. Summer is officially over at my house because my middle kid has moved back to Wichita, Kansas. College starts next week for him and he is now in the world where it hits 100+ degrees without a problem and where his friends think he sees a moose every day. Not joking. They even call my kid "Canada" because I honestly don't think they realize that Minnesota and Canada are two different things. Heck, they are two different countries! But yet, that is now my kids' name.
To set the record straight, I have never seen a moose while living in Minnesota and I've been here for 24 years. I can verify that my kid hasn't either. My daughter has but that is because she went backpacking for a week at Isle Royale National Park. FYI, there isn't a Hyatt there. There is NOTHING there. You have to take your toilet paper that you are going to use into the park AND out of the park. Yes. Used toilet paper. This is not a place I will ever visit, but she did see a moose there.
Hilarious Myths That People Believe About Minnesota
Being around moose every day. Eating SPAM every day. Those are just a few of the myths that people believe about those of us that live in the grand state of Minnesota. While SPAM is made about 45 minutes from where I live, I do NOT eat it every day. In fact, I have never even bought it while living in Minnesota.
