Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The blizzard that hit Minnesota over the weekend continues to impact travel in southeastern Minnesota.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is reporting that numerous major highways in the region remain partially covered by snow and ice. Those conditions have contributed to several injury crashes today.

A rollover Involving Pickup Truck Pulling Another Vehicle

The most recent was reported around 10:40 AM on Interstate 90 in Winona County. The Minnesota State Patrol says a pickup was traveling west while pulling a car dolly with a vehicle on it when the driver lost control, and it rolled into the right ditch along the freeway. The crash occurred about a mile east of the Utica exit.

The driver was not injured, but a 24-year-old Texas woman in the passenger seat was transported to St. Marys Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Crash Near Owatonna

Another injury crash was reported shortly after 9 AM near Owatonna. The State Patrol says the driver of a pickup truck lost control while traveling east on Highway 14, and the vehicle rolled into the median. That incident occurred approximately six miles west of Owatonna.

The State Patrol identified the driver as 49-year-old Chelsea Roman of Ellendale. She also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Mayo Clinic Health System in Owatonna.

Rochester Man Injured

Earlier today, a Rochester man was injured in a crash on Highway 52. The State Patrol says 36-year-old Eric Lee Johnson was driving a car that spun out of control and collided with a semi-truck near the 16th Street Southwest interchange. He was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
