Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester Police responded to the report of a robbery at a Cub Foods store early Thursday.

Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says the incident occurred around 1 a.m. 

The reported robbery occurred at the grocer’s southeast Rochester location, at 1021 15th Ave SE. 

The police report indicates a man wearing a ski mask approached a check out lane and threatened the cashier with a knife.

Masked Man Flees on Foot After Reported Armed Robbery at Cub Foods

The cashier told police they backed away from the register and the alleged robber opened the till and took the money that was inside of it. 

Police say the suspect fled on foot. No injuries were reported. 

Grayson says the robbery is under investigation. The amount of cash taken is not available.
