I'm just going to put my vote in for "yes" here.

For those of you who don't know, I've spent most of my Thanksgivings in Pennsylvania and in Illinois. This will be my first Thanksgiving in Minnesota - so I decided to prepare for any potential delicacies that I may not be familiar with.

An overwhelming amount of you said green bean casserole is a "must have" on the Thanksgiving table.

My only question: WHY IS THIS NOT CALLED A HOTDISH????

Seriously, every Minnesotan that I know refers to what I call a casserole as a hotdish. Why is this recipe an exception? Speaking of recipes, here's an amazing green bean casserole one to try this year!
