After years of anticipation, we are just months away from the Super Bowl finally coming to Minnesota. While it remains to be seen whether the Vikings will be the first team to have a “home game” at the Super Bowl, we at least do know some other acts who will be “playing” in the Twin Cities that week.

One big act that was just announced? Imagine Dragons.

They’ll be headlining the EA Sports Bowl on Thursday, February 1st inside the downtown Minneapolis Armory building. They’ll be joined by rapper Machine Gun Kelly and Mura Masa (who is apparently a world-famous DJ – thanks, Google!).

Even if you’re not a huge football fan, the week leading up to the Super Bowl is still packed with a ton of performances from other artists, including The Chainsmokers (a.k.a. the Florida Georgia Line of EDM), Florida Georgia Line (a.k.a. The Chainsmokers of country), the Dave Matthews Band, Soul Asylum, Gwen Stefani, and Jennifer Lopez. I wouldn’t doubt that we could be seeing more announcements, but that’s just speculation on my part.

That’s a pretty diverse lineup depending on where your musical tastes fall, but Imagine Dragons at the new Armory building looks like a fun show. Based on feedback from my friends, they’re apparently amazing live. That being said, tickets are pretty steep for my blood at $175 a pop. But if you’re cool with that, they go on sale Friday at 10AM! More info on that here.
