Hundreds Take Part in Rochester’s ‘March for Our Lives’ Event
(KROC AM News) - Hundreds of high school students and adults took part in a rally and procession in downtown Rochester Saturday that was part of a nationwide event aimed at ending gun violence.
In Rochester, participants of the “March For Our Lives” event gathered at the Peace Plaza and Mayo Park. Rochester Mayor Ardell Brede and Police Chief Roger Peterson were among the speakers.
Organizers of the event in Washington, DC put the crowd size at around half a million. Among the speakers there were students from the Florida high school that was the recent scene of a deadly shooting.
