(hed) P.E. Took Over The Wicked Moose And It Was Awesome [PHOTOS]
In case you missed it, this past Saturday, (hed) P.E. took over the Wicked Moose. This show was seriously everything I thought it would be! I'll apologize now for some photo blurry-ness, but it was the best I got.
Obviously, the crowd built as the night went on. If you didn't get there early, you missed some great bands.
This show was a full line-up, we were also introduced to a few bands that you may or may not have heard of before.
Here's my mini review of the show: there was a lot of variety in each of these acts!
If you're into a Faith No More type vibe, definitely look into Strange Forest further. Seriously, Jayson Hughes reminded me of Mike Patton, a lot. They were progressive and refreshing!
The Manic Diaries kept things simple, rockin', and kept the show moving. It's always nice to see them!
Embrace The Ending, are ofcourse, another local favorite. This was my first time hearing them, and I liked that they didn't take themselves too seriously. Joe played bass in the crowd, and Alex hopped down from the stage later! I heard every bit of their All That Remains, Mushroomhe
September Mourning speaks for themselves. The cloaks, the boots, EVERYTHING! September knows how to command a stage and I loved the production aspect of their show! She was kind enough to join me on Friday's show, and I had to see them the next night. It was worth it. Volume 2 is out now and you should get it!
Finally, what can I say? (hed) p.e. is (hed) p.e. ....you know what you're getting when you see them - and that's exactly why I went! They delivered what was expected, and even threw it back to 2004! Gregzilla is a guitar beast! I prayed for more of those Pantera licks he busted out, but that's not why we were there .... WE WANTED PUNK REGGAE AND WE GOT IT! Jahred made no bones about the fact that he's a happy family guy now, but he's not afraid to revisit the old stuff either. Cool.
Check out the photos above! Did you go to the show? What did you think?
