Believe it or not, Dave Mustaine of Megadeth is 55 today!

Let's celebrate by looking back at some of his most "MegaDave" moments! It was hard to narrow it down to just four, but I think this list covers the best...

1) Leaving Metallica and starting Megadeth. 

Okay, so maybe he didn't "leave" Metallica. Word is - he was thrown out for his alcoholism. The issue was how the booze affected him, not that he drank at all. Although this was clarified, years later, we're still talking about it.

2) His interaction with fans on Twitter. 

There's a reason some call him "that guy on Twitter." He loves using it to talk to us fans! We love him for it!

3) Making his own coffee. Because when you're Dave Mustaine, you can.

4) Choosing Dirk Verbeuren as Megadeth's new drummer.

I've been familiar with Dirk Verbeuren since his work with Soilwork, and I was super happy to hear that Megadeth chose him as their new drummer this summer. Just watch the video! This guy is good! Way to go, Dirk!!
