Garage Catches Fire In Southeast Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A detached garage caught fire that eventually reached the exterior of a house that was near the fire in Southeast Rochester Tuesday afternoon.
An initial report to the Rochester Fire Department issued a garage was on fire at 2907 Rose DR SE in Rochester around 2:30, but when the RFD arrived on the scene, the crew found the detached garage fully involved in a fire, and the exterior of a house near the garage was also on fire.
The first crews that arrived were immediately able to extinguish the fire within minutes, and all residents of the house had evacuated.
The Rochester Fire Department reports an estimate of $50,000 in damage was done to both the garage and exterior fire damage to the house. The fire’s originated in the garage, and the fire is still under investigation by the Fire Marshall’s Office.
