The Minnesota State Fire Marshall's Office has been called in to investigate the explosion and subsequent fire of a home on Lake Vermilion near Tower, Mn.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office confirmed the explosion occurred around 9:36 this morning on the 1700 block of Everett Bay Rd. in Greenwood Township.

First responders reported the man who owns the home was found in the yard with severe injuries. He was airlifted to a hospital. Authorities say a woman was found deceased inside the residence.
Authorities have not positively identified the victims. I spoke with the Sheriff's Office and requested they inform us once all relatives have been notified.
