Foo Fighters played a live Youtube steamed show Saturday night aboard an aircraft carrier in the middle of the Hudson River as part of the Bud Light Hotel Live Concert Series preceding the Super Bowl. After a full streamed set by Zac Brown Band many fans waited through a 45 minute countdown and an additional 15 minutes for the promised Foo Fighters concert stream of their first show of 2014 and first in New York City since 2012.

9 songs into Foo Fighters’ set Dave Grohl introduced the band, then drummer Taylor Hawkins began singing lead on “Cold Day In The Sun.” Midway through the song the Youtube stream faded to black saying “See you next year.” Last Sunday the Grammys interrupted the Nine Inch Nails/Queens of the Stone Age finale, which Grohl played drums on, with “promotional considerations” which enraged fans and Trent Reznor alike. Following the Foo Fighters steam being cut short many fans took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.
