Elderly Pilot Survives Plane Crash In Mankato

Mankato, MN (KROC AM News) - An elderly pilot survived the crash of a small airplane in Mankato Tuesday.
The Mankato Public Safety Dept. says the crash landing happened around 7:45 pm.
The department says the single-engine plane was approaching the runway at the Mankato Regional Airport when it crashed for unknown reasons.
The department says the 78-year-old man piloting the plane was taken to the hospital by ambulance to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. His name has not been released.
